Production:
Methanol is produced by first converting a feedstock natural gas into a synthesis gas stream consisting of CO, CO2, H2O and hydrogen, and then deriving a catalytic synthesis of methanol from the synthesis gas. The resulting methanol is composed of methyl and hydroxyl, and equipped with all the chemical characteristics of any alcohol. Methanol is an invaluable component utilized in basic chemical engineering, as well as an environmentally-friendly energy carrier.
